VCU Acceleration and Alliance programs require two letters of recommendation and official transcripts from each college attended in order to complete the application process.

Reaching Academic Milestones through Participation and Service

Students are engaged in academic enrichment activities such as biochemistry, microbiology, dental instruction, health disparities, ethics and professionalism. Participants will receive grades in the academic courses and a certificate upon completion to the program. An orientation to the dental school is provided and 25 students will be selected.

All applicants must have completed three years of college course work, including Organic Chemistry I and II, and have a strong interest in dentistry.

Preference is given to those of a disadvantaged (educational, social or economic) background. Applications must be submitted along with an essay, transcripts from all institutions attended and two letters of recommendation.
